A. Discovery Short discovery period to understand UC Merced’s current environment, development tools, and methodologies Develop an understanding of UC Merced’s websites, including and not limited to site setup and configurations Review current infrastructure B. Build & Re-architecture Create Production, QA, and Development environments on Acquia Build CI/CD processes and pipeline Configure Acquia Modules on Merced website profile (e.g., Solr, Caching, etc.) Migrate ~400 sites from Quadranet to Acquia Cloud Site Factory, including each site’s code, database, and assets Set up development, staging, and production environments for testing. Review custom code for compatibility and refactor as needed. Recreate configuration settings for new site creation as well as user roles/permissions. Recreate Features: (/admin/structure/features), Feeds Import, Feeds News, Event Calendar. Content Migration: Move and map content types, fields, and taxonomy terms to the new site. Configuration Migration: Transfer configuration settings, including views, blocks, and site settings. C. QA & Acceptance Testing QA the migrated website for functionality, performance, and security Assist UC Merced team with detailed UAT Provide (train-the-trainer) training on content generation, content updates, and administrative activities
