• The garage must meet the needs of 13 mechanics, be OSHA compliant and equipped to store CNG and Electric vehicles. The Garage will include offices for the Fleet Superintendent and Fleet Foreman and a breakroom for 50 employees, parts room, welding bay, tire bay, and tool room. The Garage should include charging stations for passenger vehicles and for the eventual implementation of electric trash trucks. The maintenance garage will also service the needs of all City Hall Department vehicles. Wastewater employees and equipment performing treatment plant operations and maintenance will not be relocated. • A standalone truck wash with capacity to wash trash trucks, 10 wheelers, fire trucks, police cruisers and passenger vehicles will be included in the design of the garage but will be considered as an option in the construction. • The design will include the location of a salt barn on site. • Layout should include cold covered storage for any vehicles that do not fit in the garage. • Options for alternative energy like electric and solar will be considered. Development of a microgrid will be included in the project. • Make changes for the site for staff and visitor parking, proper circulation and building access and improvements to the pavement, drainage, lighting and landscaping.
