The City Los Angeles Harbor Department (Harbor Department) is soliciting information for leasing all or a portion of the premises located at 740 Terminal Way, San Pedro, CA (Opportunity Site) – see Exhibit A. The Opportunity Site also known as the Terminal Island Maritime Support Facility Project (TIMSF or Facility) will be redeveloped and improved to provide seventy-one (71) net acres for use as a maritime support facility. Possible uses include but are not limited to: container storage and dispatching, chassis depot operations (i.e., stacking and storage), maintenance, and other roadability services. The TIMSF is expected to also include the adjacent single story office building located at 750 Eldridge Street (Office Building) – see Exhibit B. The Office Building is an existing, vacant, single-story building that is approximately 2,900 square feet and could be refurbished for use as administration and operational support by the successful Respondent. The Harbor Department will consider a single permit (i.e. lease) holder or as many as four individual permit holders of the Facility. For example, a master lease for the entire Opportunity Site to be divvied up among subtenants may be considered. Alternatively, up to four (4) individual leases of varying acreage (minimum and maximum premise size to be determined) is another option under consideration by the Harbor Department – see Exhibits D and E. The Harbor Department is soliciting input through this RFI from industry stakeholders on the ideal configuration.
