The Office of Behavioral Health Promotion and Prevention (OBHPP or the Office) seeks to gather information from interested community stakeholders, service providers, researchers, advocates, and other relevant parties regarding innovative and effective approaches to behavioral health promotion and prevention. The Office seeks to gather insights on available funding opportunities, including grant programs and other funding sources that support behavioral health promotion and prevention activities. The Commonwealth of Massachusetts and the Office of Behavioral Health Promotion and Prevention are committed to improving the behavioral health of Massachusetts residents by implementing and supporting programs that promote mental health and well-being, prevent mental health conditions, prevent substance use disorder (SUD), and support suicide prevention and violence prevention. OBHPP is issuing this Request for Information (RFI) to solicit relevant market input and information regarding the current landscape of behavioral health promotion and prevention efforts within the Commonwealth. OBHPP is focused on primary and universal level prevention and promotion initiatives (defined below). OBHPP is also focused on selective and secondary prevention initiatives (defined below) connected to the identified key issues areas; upstream prevention of SUDs, prevention of violence, prevention of suicide, mental health wellness as well as other highly effective evidence-based behavioral health upstream prevention and promotion initiatives. This RFI is intended for informational purposes only and may assist in future program development and procurement strategies.
