The contractor shall create board up plan details for the motel buildings. The plan details shall be for each condition (windows, doors, HVAC units), be prepared and sealed by a licensed design professional in good standing, incorporate tamper resistant fasteners/hardware to resist against intrusion, and specify all materials, fasteners, and fastener schedule. Due to a trace amount of asbestos within wall board and texture, the Conservancy and City desire to not disturb and asbestos containing materials and board up the building from the outside. For all openings, Plywood must be cut to fit over the window and door openings as flush as possible with the exterior so that all lift or pry points are avoided. It may be necessary to remove exterior molding materials, so the fit is flush and tight. All boards must be painted to match the existing color of the exterior. All board ups must be marked with the unit numbers stenciled in a uniform manner on each covering. See attached schematic and photographs for general structure layout.
