The Illinois Secretary of State is seeking bids for the removal and replacement of 19 windows at the SOS Dirksen Parkway (DMV) building located at 2701 S Dirksen Parkway Springfield, Illinois and 12 windows at the William G. Stratton Building, 401 S Spring Street, Springfield, Illinois. This contract is being awarded by line item and may result in two separate contracts. Vendors are only required to bid on one location, but may bid on both. SUPPLIES AND/OR SERVICES REQUIRED: The following specifications are applicable to both locations listed above. The Contractor shall furnish all necessary materials, labor, transportation, equipment, investigation, supervision and recycle/waste disposal to complete the scope of work as detailed herein. The Contractor shall install all window glass according to manufacturer’s specifications. All warranty information must be provided within five days of the installation. Workmanship shall be warrantied for one year from final completion. Contractor shall not commence work until all the necessary replacement window glass has been delivered and is on hand at the Contractor’s place of business. Contractor shall provide and apply new sealant to make windows weathertight. The Contractor shall field verify window dimensions prior to bidding. Contractor is responsible for repairs of any damage to the structure during removal or installation surrounding the windows (plaster, brick work, concrete, etc.). The Contractor shall provide housekeeping and final cleaning of the work areas when work is completed to a standard equal or better than the original condition.
