Pour concrete for a shop floor with the following specifications: Slabs-on-Grade: Normal-weight concrete. Design based on 10,000-Pound Maximum - 60'x160' 9,600 SF 1. Minimum Compressive Strength: 4000 psi mix design 2. Concrete thickness 6” PCC with #4 rebar @16” OC each way (Minimum concrete coverage on rebar of 2” and must not lay on the gravel). 3. Subgrade – Excavation depth as needed onsite to provide 6” compacted granular fill and the 6” PCC at interior walls and align flush with build pad aprons, etc. Concrete tie-in with #4 rebar and epoxy to existing aprons 2’ OC. Also, include 6 mil vapor barriers under all slab space. (we suggest scrapping existing gravel off to dirt for re-use of gravel) 4. Broom finish 5. Maximum W/C Ratio: 0.50. 6. Slump Limit: Up to 6 inches for concrete with verified slump of 2 to 4 inches before adding waterreducing admixture or plasticizing admixture. 7. Air Content for Exterior Slabs: 6 percent, plus or minus 1.5 percent at point of delivery. 8. Saw joints area shall be no larger than 200SF spacing 9. Cold Joints detailed at each pour(s). Expansion joint at all cold joints and warehouse interior walls/slab on grade.
