1. Vendor shall notify plant chief/assistant engineer before starting the job. 2. Vendor shall implement proper lock-out tag-out procedures for all utilities on relevant system or systems before commencing work. 3. Vendor shall ask authorization and notify chief/assistant engineer ahead of time if there will be any operational shutdown or any disruption at the boiler plant. 4. Vendor shall safely secure all relevant isolation valves. 5. Vendor shall drain tanks and open tank covers to start removing and properly disposing existing aggregate and resin. 6. Vendor shall remove all loose, deteriorated, and unbonded tank lining/coating. 7. Vendor shall manually, mechanically, and chemically descale rust and all exposed metal surfaces. 8. Vendor shall pressure wash tanks for residual rust and scale. 9. Vendor shall inspect, assess, and report to LASD distribution piping’s (headers and laterals) condition. 10. Vendor shall recoat tank interior with Hebco ceramic tank lining or equal and let it cure according to manufacturer’s application and curing recommendations.
