The Town of West Windsor seeks to develop a plan to move forward in a smart and diligent manner to expand the supply of “affordable housing” within the town. “Affordable” means that the cost of housing (rent/mortgage, utilities, taxes and insurance) does not exceed 30% of household income. Affordable housing is for all community members, including seniors, families and essential workers (e.g., teachers, nurses, firefighters, service workers and tradespeople), and may include different housing solutions throughout the Town. The deliverables from this project are a report identifying opportunities, including potential locations, for expanding affordable housing in West Windsor and potential housing solutions, a summary of considerations and supporting resources, and a community presentation
