Renovation and addition to the 800 S.F. (+/-) Wilder Memorial Library. The addition will be 1300 S.F. (+/-). Renovations to the existing library include cleaning, cutting, and repointing existing exterior masonry, restoring the existing windows, removing the East brick chimney, adding a new arch-top window on the East Elevation (to match the existing West arch-top window), painting of exterior wood elements, removing and resetting of existing slate roofing, replacing the copper roof valleys and flashing, adding a new mechanical room on the Lower Level, adding a new storage room on the Lower Level, refinishing existing interior wood elements, and adding new interior wood bookshelves (in the main library space) to match existing. The addition will be a singlestory wood and steel frame structure (slab-on-grade) to match the aesthetics of the existing building. The addition will include a new accessible wheelchair lift (accessing all library levels), new MEP/FP systems and infrastructure (a septic holding tank, a drilled well, a backup generator), an accessible restroom, new stairs to the Lower Level of the existing library (to replace existing), a new library space, and a covered porch and patio. The addition roof will feature slate and standing seam copper systems and a windowed cupola. Site improvements will include site regrading, a new accessible ramp (at the addition), and a new parking area (connected to the new porch / patio by the new accessible ramp).
