2.1 Process Systems a) The process systems located at the Utilities Department are made up of the following components: 1) All types of existing exposed piping 2) Sizes range from 1/4” – 36” 3) Various material – stainless steel, copper, cast iron, PVC/CPVC, RCP, FRP, titanium, steel, ductile iron, etc. 4) Chemical storage tanks 5) High-pressure process vessels 6) Corrosive service process piping 7) High-pressure steam piping systems 8) Air piping systems 9) Fluid piping systems 10) Other related liquid handling systems not identified above 11) Above ground and under ground systems 2.2 Inspections a) It shall be the responsibility of the Contractor to provide certified inspections of: 1) Radiographic examination of welds 2) Necessary pressure testing (of hydro piping and valves) 3) Any other inspections that are necessary for quality control b) If required by ASME Code, a Third Party Inspection shall be subcontracted by the Contractor on work to be performed. Inspection reports shall be furnished to the Utilities Department within 10 days of inspection services. 2.3 Testing a) Some testing may be necessary for compliance with various certifications such as: 1) Particle Testing 2) Ultrasonic Testing 3) Non-Destructive Testing 4) Mag-Particle Testing 5) Hydrostatic Testing 6) X-Ray Testing b) Testing reports shall be furnished to the Utilities Department
