1. The demolition of the specific structures, as indicated in this document, shall be done in coordination with the City of Morgantown and all local utilities. It will be the responsibility of the contractor to perform these tasks including the termination of utilities to these structures and obtain all required permits. 2. All structures shall have all Asbestos Containing Building Materials (ACBM) removed before demolition begins. The contractor or their representative must contact local, state, and federal agencies for verification before proceeding with demolition activities at each site. West Virginia State Law requires asbestos removal to be performed by personnel trained and licensed in asbestos abatement activities. Abatement must be performed in accordance with the West Virginia Division of Health Legislative Rules Title 64 Series 63, OSHA Asbestos Construction Standard 29 CFR 1926.1101, and the EPA Asbestos NESHAP guidelines 40 CFR 61, Subpart M. A Notification of Abatement, Demolition or Renovation form must be submitted, and a 10-day notice accompanied by the required fees, given before any abatement can begin on this project. A demolition permit must be obtained from the City of Morgantown Code Enforcement OƯice prior to beginning demolition activities. 3. The contractor will be required to install an erosion and sediment control plan including permits prior to any demolition activities. 4. Foundation walls located below grade shall remain in place. All f floor slabs shall be removed. All refuse material shall be properly disposed of at a regulated landfill as dictated in the Contract Agreement. 5. After demolition activities have been completed, the contractor shall backfill against foundation walls filling void with Compacted Fill Dirt and grading and contouring the ground in a manner to eliminate surface water from discharging into the streets and roads and no greater than a 3:1 slope...
