Please note: This is a Sole Source Notification. OTS specializes in providing biology students with firsthand experience in tropical ecosystems biodiversity. As a class, students explore the four (4) major ecological niches in Costa Rica which are not found in US. No other organization provides students the opportunity to study all four (4) ecological environments in one (1) organized trip/program. OTS organizes the information between the sites, employs tour guides, and provides shuttles for the sites. OTS additionally provides safe, reliable accommodations, and provides food while students are abroad. It is for these reasons that no other contractor could provide these services or this experience to the University’s students and therefore is required to sole source to Organization for Tropical Studies.
