Inclement weather protection shall be constructed using durable material that allows for machine washing of the gear. The jacket shall be a standard jacket design, and the pants shall be a bib-style design or a standard pant design with an integrated suspender system. Garments must comply with the following standards: • OEKO-TEX® Standard 100 Supplement PPE and Materials for PPE Certified Product • National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) 70E: Standard for Electrical Safety in the Workplace • American Society for Testing and Materials (ASTM) F1891: Standard Specification for Arc and Flame-Resistant Rainwear GARMENT IDENTIFICATION: Each garment shall have a barcode and/or QR code for tracking and accountability with a unique serial number for the product. Barcodes shall be placed on the inside of the jacket or underneath a storm flap/pocket flap. Barcodes shall not be located on the outer shell of the jacket. SEALED SEAMS: Garments shall be seam sealed to assure liquid resistance integrity. Seam sealing shall use bicomponent tape based on ePTFE that is a minimum 25 mm wide. FABRIC: Fabric used for the construction of inclement weather protection ensembles shall be an arc rated, waterproof, and moisture breathable fabric. Fabric shall meet EN 343 Standard with a minimum class 4 rating for water penetration resistance and a minimum class 3 rating for water vapor resistance (RET).
