The City of Highland Park is seeking proposals for an engineering firm to supplement the Engineering Division with surveying, Capital Improvement Program (CIP) design and construction inspection on an as-needed basis. This work is to be performed on an on-call, flexible service basis. Scope of Services 1. Design public infrastructure projects in a timely, cost effective manner and to produce construction-set bid plans. 2. Contract services management including construction engineering services. 3. Provide technical information and statutory approval for the administration of state and federal monies; 4. Approval of final plans and specifications for compliance with local, state, and federal policies; 5. Attend and participate in City Council, public hearings, committee, and staff meetings when required; 6. Review and report on plats, site plans, and other proposed development documents; 7. Review correspondence from local, state, and federal permitting agencies that require response or action from City Engineer or Public Works staff; 8. Assist City staff in processing paperwork and providing statutory fiscal certification of state and federal grants; 9. Provide any other typical engineering functions as requested by the City Engineer or Director of Public Works.
