a. The Contractor shall roll or brush all surfaces. No spraying will be allowed, unless approved for the project by the District Project Manager or their designee. b. The Contractor shall apply each coat to uniform coating thickness in accordance with the manufacturers’ instructions, not exceeding the manufacturer’s specified maximum spread rate for indicated surface. c. The Contractor shall apply at least two coats of finish. This shall either consist of one coat of primer and one coat of finish, or two coats of finish, whichever is agreed upon between the District Project Manager or their designee and the Contractor. d. The Contractor shall apply paint to product surface films without cloudiness, spotting, laps, brush marks, roller tracking, runs, sags, or other surface imperfections. e. The Contractor shall allow manufacturer’s specified drying time and ensure current coating adhesion for each coat before applying the next coat. f. The Contractor shall contact the District Project Manager or their designee for approval of additional coats if undercoats or other imperfections show through the topcoat. g. All paint products shall be mixed or prepared by the Contractor: i. Paints that have settled to a condition that makes mixing difficult shall not be used and shall be removed from the job site. ii.
