The Lexington School District Four Facility Assessment, dated April 23, 2024, describes renovations, additions, and other improvements to Frances Mack Intermediate School. These renovations include six new classroom additions, auxiliary class space, additional physical education space, restrooms, office space and storage space. The current enrollment is approximately 508 students in grades 5-6. The school sits on 20 acres of land and has 71,732 square feet of space. The District has received $12 million in funding from the South Carolina Department of Education and is matching $3 million in additional funds to improve conditions at Frances Mack Intermediate School and build a new Lexington Four Transportation Center. The District is seeking qualified architects to perform architectural services for the Frances Mack Intermediate School and Lexington Four Transportation Building Program. This solicitation is being conducted to select highly qualified educational architecture firms with the demonstrated capability to implement the District's building plan working with a Construction Manager at Risk during the design/value engineering process and provide construction administration services during construction.
