1.1 The filter cartridge shall be made of densely wound, pure coniferous long-fiber wood pulp paper, sourced from Scandinavia 1.2 The filter cartridge must provide adsorption, through removing contaminant particles down to 1 micron (3 absolute). This cartridge must extract soot, wear materials and silicon. 1.3 The filter cartridge shall be responsible for absorption of moisture, removing 99.5% of water/condensation. 1.4 The filter cartridge should be processed (pulped) only one time. 1.5 The filter cartridge must have optimum density and tension. It should not shred with the introduction of oil, water and contaminants. 1.6 The filter cartridge should have these exact dimensions to fit inside a Kleenoil KU50 bypass filtration system: • 3.83 inches in height • 5.75 inches in diameter • 20.3 ounces in weight 1.7 The filter cartridge should provide .12 gallons (0.48 quarts) of water retention. In conjunction with the bypass filtration system, the filter cartridge should be designed to handle up to 50 quarts for engine filtration or up to 200 gallons when used on hydraulic applications.
