1. Trash Removal: a. All wastepaper baskets shall be emptied, lined, and put back in place. b. All entrance and lobby ashtrays shall be emptied, cleaned, and put back in place. c. Ashes or trash shall be cleaned and removed from all areas. 2. Sweeping or Vacuum Cleaning: a. No dirt shall be left in corners, under furniture, or behind doors. b. Baseboards, furniture, and equipment must not be damaged during the cleaning operations. c. No dirt shall be left where sweepings were picked up from floor. d. Furniture and equipment moved during sweeping must be replaced. e. All grilles must be kept free of dirt. f. Trash or foreign matter shall be cleaned from under desks, tables, or chairs. 3. Dusting: a. Dust streaks shall not be allowed on desks or other office equipment. b. Woodwork, after being properly dusted, shall be bright and clean in appearance. c. Any corners and crevices shall be kept free of dust and dirt. d. Window sills, window frames, doors, door ledges, door frames, wainscoting, baseboards, and partitions shall be kept free of dust. 4. Damp Wiping: Mirrors, ashtrays, door glass, and all other glass that can be reached while standing on the floor, shall be clean and free of dirt, dust, streaks, and spots. (This job does not include window washing. 5. Cleaning Drinking Fountains: a. The stainless steel, porcelain, or white enamel surfaces of drinking fountains shall be kept clean and free of stains.
