The responsibilities of the Consultant will include, but not be limited to provision of professional services, advice and technical assistance for the following: A. Development of improved measures for analyzing performance and impact of Community Development activities on the County, along with strategies for improving performance and attaining maximum positive impact. B. Aid in strengthening existing programs and development of innovative new programs and financial tools to address the housing and community/economic development needs of the County. C. Identification of public/private funding sources to augment Community Development funds. Note: In most instances actual preparation of applications will be handled by staff, with assistance from Consultant as needed. D. Provide guidance relative to latest Federal and State regulations, statutes, circulars, executive orders, policies, procedures and guidelines issued by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development as it pertains to applicable programs, and provide technical assistance for compliance.
