The Kansas Department of Commerce (KDC) is seeking competitive proposals from qualified vendors for a full-time World Cup Representative to represent KDC during the planning and execution of the 2026 Kansas City (KC) World Cup event. The contractor will serve as a key liaison between KDC and the KC2026 World Cup boards and committees to ensure that Kansas’ interests are effectively represented, and all opportunities are explored and developed. Regular and comprehensive reporting to KDC is required. This role is for a proactive, self-motivated individual who will effectively engage with corporate and elected officials, World Cup stakeholders, and members of the Kansas tourism and economic development sectors. This person will not be an employee of KDC but will be on contract to provide the services and key responsibilities listed, but not limited to, below.
