The Department of Public Safety, Alaska State Troopers, is soliciting proposals for the processing of samples for its unidentified remains and missing persons investigations. Alaska has a significant number of contaminated samples and older cases that are challenging to process due to extreme weather conditions and vast area of responsibility. The Contractor is to provide Snapshot DNA Analysis Services on an as-needed basis for law enforcement investigations requiring DNA analysis. Services may include DNA Processing, Mixture Deconvolution, Genetic Genealogy Screening, Genetic Genealogy Analysis, Phenotyping, Kinship Inference, and phenotypic forensic art enhancements. Offeror must be able to process challenging sample types including, but not limited to, highly degraded samples, contaminated samples, minimal remains for processing, low amounts of DNA, high amounts of non-human DNA, and mixed samples
