EXECUTIVE SUMMARY The Town of Glastonbury requires a consultant to inspect the Town’s boat ramp and dock on the Connecticut River located at 300 Welles Street and to perform a study evaluating options to restore the function of this facility that has experienced significant sedimentation. Study shall evaluate quantities of material to be dredged as required to restore the boat ramp to full function as well as an analysis of 2-3 alternatives to reduce or eliminate the potential for future sediment deposition and need for future dredging. Study shall include bathymetric survey to determine existing grades around the boat ramp, evaluation of quantities of materials to be dredged, and preparation of a study of alternatives including detailed cost estimates for design, permitting, and construction of such alternatives for further consideration by the Town. The Town is looking to receive a Final Report summarizing the alternatives analysis conducted by the chosen Consulting firm.
