The Arizona Department of Child Safety (ADCS) is seeking stakeholder perspectives on improving education outcomes for children experiencing foster care. The ADCS seeks information on how best to ensure students experiencing foster care have positive school experiences, including but not limited to academic assessment, support, and progress towards attaining grade level work and preparedness for entry into the next grade. The ADCS would like to better understand how to support students to thrive in their school settings, including experiencing improved relationships with peers and school staff, and strong connections with their schools. This information will help to inform how the ADCS Foster Youth Education Success Program is developed.
