1.03 GENERAL SCOPE OF WORK A. The work to be done under this contract consists of the following: 1. Contractor shall visit the site prior to commencement of work to coordinate work with the Awarding Authority. 2. Chiller System Replacement: a. Removal of (1) existing chiller, (2) condensers, chilled water pumps, refrigerant piping up to and on roof, chilled water piping in mechanical room, and associated electrical and automatic controls. b. Installation of new chiller, chilled water piping to unit on grade, chilled water piping in mechanical room, chilled water pumps, water specialties, insulation, controls and appurtenances. c. Hydronic/chilled piping modification to provide chiller primary / secondary pump arrangement. d. Factory startup and commissioning of new chilled water systems and applicable controls. e. Provide new system controls and associated system programming within existing BMS system. Program as required to provide primary/secondary pumping with dual temperature water pumps. f. Provide factory authorized Start-Up documentation, Pump Warranties, System Test & Balance and associated close out O&M materials. 3. Electrical: a. Disconnect all mechanical equipment indicated to be removed. b. New conduit and power wiring to new mechanical equipment. c. New electrical apparatus for new mechanical equipment as required; circuit breakers, disconnect switches, etc. 4. Contractor shall final clean each work area upon completion and acceptance to the standards and specifications of Owner. 5. All work shall be in strict conformance with all applicable code requirements. 6. Contractor shall be responsible for all necessary forms, paperwork, invoices and documentation to assist the City of Lowell in attaining any available rebates related to this work from the appropriate utility provider(s). 7. Proposals shall be inclusive of all work for complete installation and operation of equipment herein before described. B. The General Contractor shall furnish and do everything, except as otherwise provided by specific notations herein or on the drawings, necessary to complete the work in accordance with the Plans and Project Manual. He shall furnish all plant, labor, materials, supplies, tools, water, machinery, implements, light, power, transportation, and other facilities required, and do all work necessary for the complete execution and completion of the Contract, except that work or materials specifically stated to be done or furnished by others.
