The Bureau of Traffic Operations requires assistance to perform program support tasks as an extension of WisDOT staff. Provide an engineer(s) to assist with traffic engineering support for the Safety Engineering and Speed Management program areas. Tasks include collecting and analyzing traffic data, assisting with AASHTOWare Safety implementation, researching and evaluating national guidance to identify geometric elements that are most influential to speed management, developing tools and materials to support statewide consistency for speed management, investigating and supporting the Safety Certification Process. A team of up to three people to work approximately 40 hours per week may be proposed. If proposing a team, indicate the primary individual and team member duties. Anticipated occasional meetings/trainings at Hill Farms in Madison, WI or other WisDOT offices.
