Beaver County School District is soliciting bids from qualified companies to provide a 78 passenger bus in sufficient detail to assure that product reliability, design integrity, technical soundness , and all meets regulations for the state of Utah transport of school age students. The vehicle shall be delivered completely assembled, serviced and ready to operate. If additional equipment/features are necessary or desirable, please include them as a separate line item in the bid. 1.The following chassis and body specifications apply to general education school bus models chassis specifications. All chassis must be made in the USA. a. Wheel base: 273 maximum wheel base to accommodate 78 passenger seating. b. Type “D” bus chassis -2024 model year chassis and body. c. Please write “Yes” or “No” next to each specification to indicate whether the bus you are bidding meets that specification. Any “No” answers must be explained. 2. ENGINE a. Engine Cum L9 DSL 300 HP @ 860 LB. FT. b. Water in fuel separator c. Racor fuel filter with heating element d. 750-watt engine block heater e. Fast warm up device, fast idle -manual or computer f. Noise control package g. Alternator-299 amp minimum h. Batteries-Two heavy duty-1900 cold cranking amps with master on/off switch i. Horn-dual electrical horn j.
