1. The entire buildings, including foundations, will be removed and legally disposed of. To the greatest extent possible, exported materials will be recycled. 2. Site features will be demolished and Town utilities will be terminated at the property lines and abandoned per Town regulations. 3. Excavations from foundation removals will be backfilled with clean fill. 4. Hazardous material abatement will be included in the demolition scope of work and specifications will be provided by a separate consultant. 5. The 323 Pitkin Street garage demolition design should be prepared so that contractors may bid on its demolition as an “add alternate” in addition to the 99 Founders/20 Hartland demolition. Demolition of 323 Pitkin Street will be exclusive to the parking garage. The add alternate design should include code compliant plans to modify the remaining 323 Pitkin Street building to accommodate the demolition of the garage. This may include reviewing egress, modifying existing building openings into the garage, review of the façade for any required improvements upon demolition from the garage, and physically disconnecting the building from the parking garage.
