The project is for maintenance services for the historic brick arches in the City of Charleston stormwater drainage system. The objective is to meet the operations and maintenance compliance requirements of the Department of Environmental Services (DES), to follow best management practices, to ensure public safety, and to not impact the environment in a harmful manner. The City of Charleston seeks a Contractor to furnish all labor, materials, and equipment necessary to provide the City with stormwater system cleaning and video-inspection. The work will include, but is not limited to, removal of sediment, leaves, contaminants, and debris from brick arches and catch basins and/or manholes and their lateral connections, pot-holing, pipe-jetting, and root cutting to maintain the flow of surface water into and through the stormwater drainage system in such a manner as to protect and preserve the brick arches. Inspection services may vary and involve laterals, piping, and manhole inspection with the capability of adding video logging and supplying video, and digital pictures of the system, if requested by the City. Reports must be submitted in an approved electronic format for all work accomplished. Reports shall include location and detail of work accomplished and shall also include type and amount of debris removed with the addition of video and map referencing.
