The McHenry County Division of Transportation desires to engage a qualified engineering firm to supplement the County’s in-house Design Engineers with an Engineering Project Manager for Phase I/II Projects for Various Locations within McHenry County. The engineering firm will be required to provide a project manager and/or project support staff to work remotely and occasionally in the MCDOT office. The engineering firm will be expected to have one (1) member of their staff assigned to perform the job duties of a MCDOT Project Manager and Team Member. As a member of the MCDOT extended staff, the consultant will operate as the primary point of contact for outside consultants on assigned projects. In addition, the consultant will perform and coordinate reviews for all MCDOT Phase I/II projects. Additional tasks include permitting agency coordination, public coordination, administrative services, and other work as necessary to ensure assigned projects are in compliance with federal and local guidelines/requirements as well as completed in accordance with established schedules and budgets. All projects will follow the federal process. The selected firm shall have a proven track record of working on federally funded projects through IDOT District 1 Bureau of Local Roads and Streets.
