The Village of Hinsdale is requesting proposals from qualified firms of certified public accountants licensed in the State of Illinois to audit the financial statements for (1) the Village of Hinsdale and (2) the Hinsdale Public Library for the three fiscal years ending December 31, 2024 through December 31, 2026, with the Village having the option to extend the resulting contract for each of the two subsequent fiscal years. The Hinsdale Public Library is its own legal entity with a separately elected board. The Village of Hinsdale Finance Department staff performs the accounting and treasury functions for the Hinsdale Public Library; however, for financial reporting purposes, the Library is not a component unit of the Village and has a separate annual financial report issued. The audit for both entities will be performed simultaneously and will be performed in accordance with the provisions contained in this request for proposal.
