Preliminary Design (30% Design Documents) 3.1 Roadway Design 3.1.1 Roadway design shall be in accordance with Town standards, and where Town standards are absent, design shall conform to the CTDOT Highway Design Manual. 3.1.2 Graphical horizontal and vertical geometry shall be developed for Old Hyde Rd. Plans, profiles, typical sections, and critical cross sections will be prepared for the proposed construction in accordance with the CTDOT Consultant Design Administration Manual. 3.1.3 Plan sheets will be developed at a scale of 1” = 20’ and profile sheets will be at a 1” = 20’ scale for horizontal and 1” = 4’ scale for vertical. 3.2 Roadway Drainage Design 3.2.1 Designer shall perform CCTV pipe inspection for all storm structures and pipes within the project area and make recommendations for the replacement of any storm structures or pipe based on this inspection. 3.2.2 Stormwater design flows shall be calculated based on the 25-year storm event and the contributing area within the project limit will be based on existing land use conditions.
