The Scope of this RFP is to provide GR5 Titanium for machine shop fabrication of custom ordered parts. The specifications for the titanium are Gr5 6AL4V Titanium; ASTM B348, ASME SB-381, ASME-348; Domestic; DFARS; ROHS; Mfg USA. Material certs and Certificate of Conformance required. The grade of titanium and titanium alloy metal covered by this specification shall conform to the requirements as to chemical composition prescribed. Billets and/or Forgings supplied under this specification shall conform to the requirements as to mechanical properties specified, as applicable, such as tensile strength, yield strength, and elongation. Nondestructive test requirements such as ultrasonic test, X-ray, or surface inspection shall be performed as it relates to U.S. standards. The titanium alloy forgings must be manufactured from bar or billet that conforms to ASME SB-348. The manufactured forgings must be free of injurious external and internal imperfections and may be furnished as descaled, machined sandblasted, or ground. • Forging: Qty 2pcs: Per the sketch provided below.
