Requested Item Aaderaa MOTUS wave sensors Item Description Aanderaa MOTUS wave sensors (N=3) and associated hardware and sensor integration compatible with YSI EMM700 buoys. Requirements 1. CE marking: The wave sensor must be a complete solution with housing and must be CE marked. 2. Internal processing: All wave parameters in the frequency and time domain must be internally calculated in the sensor. No post-processing of data needed. 3. Sampling and calculation: Sensor must be able to sample and calculate at the same time 4. Adaptable sensor: Sensor must be able to be off-center compensate for installation in non-ideal positions (Configurable compensation algorithm for installation outside of buoy center). It must be possible to tune the internal wave coefficients for amplifying the signals in the higher wave frequencies (User configurable transfer function to compensate for buoy frequency response). 5. Ruggedness: Sensor must be able to handle knockdown to 30 meters below water surface and should have wet pluggable connectors 6. Sensor must use an open serial protocol for integration on a variety of dataloggers 7. Sensor must have input for external compass connection and utilize the input for correct wave direction data 8. Sampling frequency: IMU output rate of 100Hz 9. Mechanical vibration dampening: Sensor must have a mechanical low pass filter to remove unwanted vibrations in combination with using advanced filtering techniques 10. Power: Current drain 125mW @ 12V. Supply voltage 6-30V DC 11. The sensor must have a built-in solid state 9-axis accelerometer/gyroscope/magnetometer 12. The sensor should be made in POM, stainless steel 316, and brass 13. Sensor dimension: Maximum 130mm x 130mm x 110mm 14. Weight of sensor: Maximum 123kg EMM700 integration 1. Integration of wave sensor onto EMM700 buoy cannot result in the alteration of existing hardware on buoy 2. Wave sensor must be compatible with existing hardware and connectors on EMM700 buoy 3. EMM700 factory warranty is voided in the event of third-party buoy modification
