The City of Newberry seeks proposals from qualified vendors for the implementation of an Enterprise Work Order System. This system will serve multiple city departments, including Public Works, Utilities, Parks and Recreation, Permitting, and Codes Enforcement, as well as Police and Fire, to improve efficiency in work order management, tracking, reporting, and communication. The City of Newberry, home to 10,691 residents and spanning 8 square miles is committed to enhancing operational efficiency and service delivery to its residents. Currently, work orders are managed through disparate systems or manual processes, leading to delays and inefficiencies. The goal of this RFP is to find a comprehensive solution that can integrate seamlessly across departments. The City of Newberry is looking for a software solution that provides flexibility, modularity, and integration capabilities. The City of Newberry Utilities provides reliable electric service to residential and commercial customers within City limits. The City of Newberry electric system consists of 2 substations and approximately 281 miles of primary distribution lines. Electricity is provided to approximately 5,313 customers. The City of Newberry was the first municipality to run fiber optics to our customers in South Carolina. The Water Distribution & Wastewater Collection Division of our Utilities department oversees the maintenance and operations of 4 water storage tanks, 10 waste-water pump stations, 640 fire hydrants, 142 miles of water distribution main lines, and 127 miles of sanitary sewer collection main lines inside City limits and surrounding area. The City of Newberry's Public Works Department manages key services through divisions that handle street and sanitation maintenance, including trash and yard debris pickup, building and facility upkeep, fuel and fleet management, and vehicle repair at the city garage. The city's Planning and Development issues building permits and enforces the city's codes and ordinances. The Parks, Recreation, and Tourism Department is responsible for maintaining a variety of city parks and sports fields, including the Newberry Recreation Complex, which features the Gullywasher Splash Park. The PRT department ensures the city's recreational spaces are well-kept and provide engaging opportunities for residents and visitors. The Police and Fire Department provides essential first responder services, ensuring the safety and well-being of the community through law enforcement, emergency response, and fire protection.
