The purpose of this ITB is to conduct a statewide survey of family caregivers; performing a Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities, and Threats (SWOT) analysis and listening sessions of the Department’s family caregiver navigator program, existing public health districts caregiver supports, and community-based organizations to determine statewide capacity and types of caregiver supports and services; determining consumer directed respite option feasibility in Idaho; and supporting development and implementation of a statewide learning opportunity for caregivers. During years two (2) and three (3), the Contractor will work with the Department’s Alzheimer’s Disease and Related Dementias (ADRD) Program to strategize implementation of lessons learned from first year's investigations through regional caregiver summits, increasing communication elements to family caregiver groups and engaging rural, remote, and underserved populations of family caregivers, and increasing services through a telephonic caregiver support/case management service. All of this will contribute to the expansion of the lifespan respite infrastructure in Idaho.
