We are seeking proposals from qualified contractors with experience in the repair and/or replacement of subsurface municipal sanitary sewer lines. While not mandatory, an onsite visit is recommended for all contractors wishing to submit a proposal. The project involves addressing a sewer line issue in City Park, specifically located behind Shelter One. There are two primary options to consider: full replacement of a 130-foot section of 6-inch sewer line, or repair of only the failed section. The failure includes a 40-foot portion with a significant belly and offset in the pipe, as detailed in Exhibit A. At the conclusion of the repair, we would like to request separate pricing for the installation of a new manhole and a two-way cleanout. In addition, we are requesting two alternative pricing options. The first option is for the installation of an 8- inch sewer line extending approximately 150 feet to a new manhole, which would tie into the existing sewer system on the opposite side of the Tad Gormley Stadium fence. This approach aims to reduce the risk of damaging the existing ticket booth and to minimize business interruptions. The second option involves using directional boring for both replacement options for either the 6-inch or 8-inch sewer lines under Stadium Drive and the train tracks.
