This project contains two sections: 1) the Standard Rehabilitation Section, and 2) the Lead Hazard Reduction Section. The General Contractor shall bid both sections; each Section shall be totaled, and the sum of both Sections shall constitute the Total Contract Amount. Any items listed that contain lead-based paint are marked with an asterisk. Section 1 – Standard Rehabilitation Section The work description shall include providing and installing all materials and labor necessary to accomplish the items and must be installed in accordance with manufactures published recommendations, Salt Lake City general specifications, and current building codes and regulations. On all items which require color and style choices the owner will be presented with approved options from a contractor provided list of selections which meet the written specifications. These choices shall be verified in writing before the work begins. Any materials damaged in or around the work area caused by the construction project will be included in the completion of the project. All projects must be completed as quickly as possible and before the end of the applicable fiscal year. Any additional work requires a change order and formal approval before moving forward. Section 2 – Lead Hazard Reduction Section The following items have been evaluated and identified by a Risk Assessor certified by the EPA as Lead Based Paint Hazards. Use approved EPA and HUD methods for Lead Abatement. Workers involved in LBP remediation and mitigation must be certified from the State of Utah and provide the certification in the bid packet. In addition, the items marked with an asterisk in Section One may contain lead-based paint. Section 1 1. Prep, patch, paint entire home single tone (exterior and interior doors) a.
