Signage needs vary to include event advertising and wayfinding signs with changeable panels, as well as gateway signage welcoming residents and visitors into the County. A. Event and Wayfinding Signs Materials and Appearance: Signs may be single face or double face depending on the location. Contractor will quote recommended materials, recommending based on attractive appearance, anticipated longevity, minimal maintenance requirements, and cost effectiveness. Locations: These event advertising and wayfinding signs will be located at high traffic locations in the County. Louisa County staff will identify locations using Virginia Department of Transportation traffic counts, points where traffic pauses, and property ownership considerations. Locations will require approval as applicable by the Board of Supervisors and town councils, and approved location information will be provided to the Contractor when a sign project is initiated.
