2 Materials City Furnished Submersible Multitap Connector(3-Port and 4-Port) and Contractor Furnished Submersible Multitap Connector (6-Port) a.1. The connector shall be fabricated from high strength 6060-T6 aluminum alloy and encapsulated in rubber with ≥125 mils with high dielectric strength. a.2. The connector shall be abrasion, chemical and UV resistant and not combustible. a.3. The connector shall be submersible to 6’ of damp/wet location. a.4. The connector shall meet UL486D and ANSI C119.4 Class A specification a.5. The connector shall be AL9CU dual rated for aluminum and copper cables, operating at 600V at temperature between -45℃ and 90 ℃. a.6. The connector color shall be in black. a.7. The connector shall be 3.65”(L) X 2.65” (W) X 2.1”(H) for 4 ports, 2.79”(L) X 2.65” (W) X 2.1”(H) for 3 ports. Variation in dimension will be considered. a.8. Figure 1 shows the Submersible Multitap Pre-Insulated Connector build (4 port connector shown).
