1. Reconstruct Runway 13/31. During the most recent 5-Year submittal, this project was shown as a rehabilitation project with a total project cost of $5,460,000 in FFY 2027. Discussions have been underway about this runway needing reconstruction, so while not listed on our most recent 5-Year CIP submittal, it is shown here. No cost estimate has been prepared for reconstruction. The 2022 PCI ranged from 45 to 48. We are currently leaning towards a FFY 2025 project for design-only for reconstructing Runway 13/31. The earliest FFY for construction would be FFY 2027. 2. Rehabilitate Runway 18/36. During the most recent 5-Year submittal, this project was shown as a total project cost of $1,820,000 in FFY 2026 for this cross-wind runway. The 2022 PCI ranged from 45 to 54. Discussions have been underway about re-evaluating past CIP plans and giving more priority to Runway 13/31. It is not currently anticipated to be a FFY 2026 project. This project will likely be delayed and may require a review of cost/benefit, which would be completed under a separate airport planning consultant selection process. 3. Rehabilitate Taxiways. During the most recent 5-Year submittal, this project was shown as a total project cost of $2,660,000 in FFY 2026. These include the parallel taxiway for Runway 13/31, connecting taxiway for Runway 13/31, and t-hangar taxi lane. The 2022 PCI ranged from 44 to 73 for taxiways with the t-hangar taxi lane at 24. Discussions have been underway about re-evaluating past CIP plans and giving more priority to Runway 13/31, which may delay taxiway rehabilitation. 4. Runway 13/31 and Associated Taxiways Edge Lighting. While shown most recently in the 6-20 year long range assessment, depending on the rehabilitation or reconstruction of Runway 13/31, it may fall within five year efforts – no cost estimates have been prepared. 5. Snow Removal Equipment. The estimated cost is $500,000. This was most recently intended to be a FFY 2025 project. The general scope is to assist the city in evaluating and bidding of snow removal equipment for use at MIW. Currently, the city is leaning towards a tractor with front PTO and broom. Due to pavement condition, this will be delayed until after runway work; however, still possible within the five-year period. 6. Pavement Maintenance Projects – While not shown in our 5-Year CIP outside of full rehabilitation projects, there is potential for crack sealing, joint sealing, or minor patching that may become a project in the next five years on Runways and Taxiways.
