1. The contractor shall accept leaves, wood waste, yard waste, brush, trees/logs, stumps, dirt, soil, topsoil, gravel, asphalt, brick, cinderblock, and broken concrete with no exposed rebar. 2. Waste materials will not include biomedical, infectious, or any materials or waste considered toxic or hazardous by any federal, state or local law, rule regulation, etc. Title to all waste materials delivered to the Contractor site shall pass to the Contractor when waste is delivered to the site, except for waste excluded above. 3. The contractor’s landfill or recycling center shall be operated in accordance with all applicable Federal, State and Local laws, regulations, standards and ordinances. 4. All materials will be hauled to the contractor’s facility in VDOT trucks or VDOT hired trucks. 5. VDOT or its agents will deliver material to the disposal site in a dump type truck body in the four configurations as follows: tandem, single axle, one-ton truck and tandem axle tractor pulling a 25' tandem dump trailer. Number of loads and sizes will be agreed upon at the end of the day between the VDOT representative and the Contractor representative. 6. Payment will be made per load for each of these four size vehicles at the price bid on the pricing sheet. 7. The unit price shall include all costs including environmental fee and any additional costs associated with providing this disposal site. No additional charges will be allowed. 8. Contractor’s disposal methods shall conform to the 2020 Road and Bridge Specification or most current version, Section 106. 9. VDOT will make the award to the lowest responsive, responsible bidder meeting the requirement of the solicitation to accept and dispose of all vegetative waste. The successful bidder must currently have an operating facility which accepts the materials described within this contract.
