Perform a leak detection survey and pinpointing project to cover approximately 125 miles of water distribution lines and all connected valves, hydrants, services, etc. At a minimum, the final report shall include the following items for each leak: location, size/type of facility, description, equipment used to find leak, estimated leak rate in gallons per minute (gpm), and a picture of the leak location. Each leak is to be clearly marked in the field, as well as documented in the report. It will not be necessary to pinpoint leaks on private lines; however, all leaks discovered on private service lines are to be reported to Dalton Utilities. Dalton Utilities will supply a field technician at all times to assist with locating mains, valves, services, and hydrants. Any pot holing required to gain access to the mains for the purpose of testing is the responsibility of the contractor. PROJECT REQUIREMENTS A breakdown of the size and material of the water mains within the area of study and additional system information pertinent to the project are included as Attachment B.
