All cement plugs must be of Class A or H cement consistent with American Petroleum Institute (API) standards. 1. Unless otherwise approved in advance by the CPC, cement must have a minimum density of 15.6 pg and must be set through tubing by the balance plug method after establishing circulation of fluids with fresh water or mud and circulating one times the capacity of the casing to the surface or until clear fluids return or until sufficient mud density is apparent.
