12,000 EA Mattress Cores * Group 1: Lines 1 and 19 * A combination of quantities ordered from Lines 1 and 19 will be a truckload lot. * Specifications for Lines 1 and 19: * Mattress cores must pass California Bureau of Home Furnishing Consumer Product Safety Code Test Method 16 CFR 1633 and 16CF 1632. * Upon award, Prison Enterprises will obtain several mattress cores in order to produce the needed samples for laboratory testing to ensure the completed mattress passes both the Consumer Product Safety Code 16 CFR 1633 and 16CF 1632. * If upon completion of the testing by a qualified lab these cores do not meet these codes the State reserves the right to cancel the contract as all mattresses we offer for sale must be in compliance with both codes. * Flame Retardant / Flame Resistance Treated Mattress Cores * Mattress cores to be composed of natural fibers made from post consumer or post industrial recycled denim or cotton that is thermally bonded for stability and support. * Mattress cores to be treated with a non-toxic solution that actively inhibits the growth of mold, mildew, bacteria, and fungi.
