1. Demolition shall include all improvements including buildings, footings, foundations, basements, private drives, hard surface paving (including sidewalks), sheds, rubbish, debris, fencing, shrubs, and all trees (including stumps) except two trees to remain in the right-of-way. See Attachment A for Pottawattamie County Assessor’s Cards. Trees to Remain: • 2205 S. 9th Street: There is one sycamore tree within the right-of-way on the west side of the property between the street and the sidewalk that should remain untouched. All other trees and vegetation on the property shall be removed. • 2209 S. 9th Street: There are two oak trees within the right-of-way on the west side of the property between the street and the sidewalk. The one oak tree to the north should remain untouched and the oak tree to the south shall be removed, including stump grind out. All other trees and vegetation on the property shall be removed. 2. Demolition shall include removal of drive approaches and driveways off the rear alley. Work shall be permitted and constructed in conformance of Council Bluffs Public Works Standards. 3. After demo, any damages to the sidewalks within the right-of-way aligned north and south along west side of property shall be repaired in conformance with Council Bluffs Public Works Standards. 4. All asbestos materials and other hazardous waste materials within the demolition limits shall be removed and disposed of in accordance with local, state and federal regulations to strictest standard. Asbestos containing materials shall be addressed prior to demolition of the property. If additional asbestos materials and other hazardous waste materials are found during demolition, they shall be removed and disposed of in accordance with local, state and federal regulations to strictest standard. A copy of the asbestos abatement notice is required from a licensed asbestos abatement contractor as part of the demolition permit application process from the City. In accordance with State of Iowa Code 88B the prime contractor shall be a licensed abatement contractor with the State of Iowa in order to bid the work or designate a licensed subcontractor in the proposal. The proposal shall include a copy of the prime contractor’s or designated subcontractor’s state abatement license in order to be considered responsive. 5.
