1.3 SCOPE OF WORK 1. The College intends to contract with a contractor(s) for on call and scheduled disposal of solid waste from the JCCC campus located at 12345 College Blvd., Overland Park, KS 66210 as well as the off-campus locations described herein. The successful Contractor will be required to pull, haul, and return to the College containers of various types and sizes within 2 working days from request, or in accordance with the set schedule. 2. The College intends to contract for purpose of maintaining a comprehensive recycling program through the collection and sale of post-consumer fibers, plastics, and metals located on the Johnson County Community College Campus in Overland Park, Kansas. The collection model being used is a single stream option, where all acceptable materials are stored in a single container for pickup. Currently, these materials are compacted or collected in plastic bags. We are seeking a price structure that retains this process of bagged single stream recycling, as well as an alternate price structure for an unbagged collection of materials whereby containers are filled with loose single stream items. Subsequently, if the bagged system is chosen then these materials must be de-bagged and recycled correctly (i.e. Not disposed of in a landfill). We intend to seek collection and proper recycling of co-mingled recyclables, defined as paper, cardboard, cans, plastics 1-7, and food and beverage cartons. 3. The College is also interested in an option for recycling of Construction and Demolition i.e. (wood waste, lumber, concrete and masonry, carpet, etc.) 4. All or parts of any of the options will be awarded, whichever is deemed in the College’s best interest.
