1. The work to be accomplished under this Contract is located at the Fifth Regiment Armory, 219 29th Division St., Baltimore, MD 21201 and consists of providing all permits, labor, materials, equipment, services, supplies, testing, instrumentation, scaffolding, wiring, conduit etc. for the completion of all work as specified herein. 2. This Contract requires furnishing and installing a complete lightning protection system for the building and chimney, including, installing down conductors to ground rods, utilizing 2 aluminum and copper lightning protection materials on the roof and copper downleads, utility bonds to electric, water and gas services per NFPA 780/UL96A, cutting and patching of the pavement for ground rod installation. 3. It is the Contractor’s responsibility to establish the proper placement of the equipment to be installed. The Contractor will ensure that the specified equipment can be installed in the available space to affect a safe, legal, code compliant, and properly functioning system. 4. All equipment removed and material originating from the job that the Agency elects not to keep shall become the property of the Contractor and shall be removed from the facility and disposed of legally. All rigging, hoisting, lifting, and moving equipment necessary to perform the work is to be provided by the Contractor. All storage expenses for inadvertent manifestations shall be the obligation of the contractor. 5. It is the Contractor’s responsibility to provide, upon completion, a Lightning Protection Institute (LPI-IP) inspection and certification.
