The Chalmers Elementary School of Excellence is being renovated to upgrade outdated facilities to newer standards, finishes, and technologies. The second floor is being renovated in select spaces to accommodate STEAM educational learning and programming. The Living Museum initiative will integrate vertical steel posts and art display at the exterior entry approach and lobby interior to create a cohesive and unifying design element amongst all three schools. In summary, the work consists of: Interior renovations of the existing school building, incorporating STEAM classrooms in the second floor, upgrading mechanical systems, and creating an exterior-interior living museum. The work includes finish upgrades, MEP updates, new millwork, furniture and equipment, reconfiguration of certain rooms and toilet rooms and re-roofing.
