In general, the work consists of: Holden Fine Arts Building: Removal, salvage, and replacement of existing handrail. Demolition and replacement of elevated exterior concrete stair. Demolition and replacement of sloped concrete embankment. Demolition and replacement of concrete stair on grade. Sawcutting and installing new bridge expansion joint; Selective demolition of concrete abutments to restore original steel slide bearing condition; Rust removal, repair, cleaning and painting of existing structural steel supporting beams and columns; Preparation and application of sealer to bridge deck; and Miscellaneous concrete patching and brick repointing. Old Main Building: Removal and replacement of existing concrete stair atop existing structural slab below to remain in place. Patching and replacement of limestone masonry at stair sidewalls. Cleaning and repointing of limestone masonry at entrance surround. Installation of three new railings at stairs.
